Big Trouble in Little China is incredible. Very influential film during my childhood. If I'm lucky, and my kids cooperate, I might see The Thing at my local independent theater tonight.

Rock on. I hope you succeed at tranquilizing both kids long enough to get to the theater.

Mission accomplished, and it kicked so much ass on the big screen.

After seeing one movie in the theater in four years, so far in 2023 I've booked Predator, RRR, Assault on Precinct 13, All Quiet on the Western Front, and The Thing. Good times.

That's a killer list for any year. I really would like to see All Quiet on the Western Front on a big screen, it feels like where those period WW1 films belong.

It's a visceral experience. Highly recommend if it's playing near you. The last movie I saw in the theater before my triumphant return this year was 1917. The opening twenty minutes are awesome, but then I hated the rest.

My local independent theater is called The Music Box and that's where I've seen all these classics. Alama Drafthouse also screens classics. One just opened in Chicago and there's a location in NYC: https://drafthouse.com/nyc

That movie is the best kind of trip.

Glad you enjoyed it! I think I'm getting the hang of the format. Which means I'll probably start playing with the levers again, until I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm quite excited.
