With the Memphis PD one, I thought for a moment you were proposing that they dump all their bodycam and traffic stop footage onto a paid subscription based streaming service, under the guise of "transparency," but actually it would be a whole new revenue source for the MPD that would (further) incentivize police brutality, sadism, and corruption by monetizing every beatdown, while also pinpoint marketing both the conservative violence fetishists... who love nothing better than to see heroic cops beating the shit out of some black guy who was "probably guilty of a crime... or might have thought about committing a crime in the future", and outraged liberals... who feel it's their public duty to sit through every single video where four cops take turns rupturing the internal organ of an unarmed motorist before leaving him chained to a lamp post and talking loudly on camera about which drugs to plant in his trunk, just so that they can react with the appropriate level of offense when airing their grievances in the comments section. (Which by the way, will include a Twitter Blue style verification system that costs an extra $19.95 per month. )
And now I feel like the worst human being ever for thinking up that proposal. But also paranoid that somebody else might have thought of it first. That's a genii you can't put back in the bottle. In fact, I should probably just delete this comment, shred my laptop hard drive, and burn down my house, just in the off chance the idea of PPV Police State ever gets out.
